And exciting at the same time. My Dillon is off to college tomorrow:(. Fingers crossed I don't completely lose it

Some sewing and yummy-ness

 For some reason, the heart is greyed over ( maybe just my computer) but they are really deep blue. The picture doesn't really give the size either. It @ 26 inches by 24 inches. I am planning on turning it into a big pillow so hopefully, I can get a good picture of the blue. The "white" squares are low volume whites.  Basically white on white or grey on white.  This was a trial run for a quilt I am planning using scraps.

Now for the yum.

This is something that has taken longer than it ever should have. Ah, life. (still working on bending space-time continuum)  Purchased at Rhinebeck back in 2011. It's a combo of merino (yum) alpaca (double yum) and silk (again yum) I have 338 yards of Yum. It's so soft and squishy. I have petted it numerous times already. It's sitting on my dresser waiting to be put away and I give it a squish when I go past =)

Test

So I saw this quilt and thought about making it to a pillow but it was just two pictures so I figured it out and here is the result (I'm sure I could have dug more on the internets and found the directions). It came out pretty good except for one glaring mismatched seam. Ugh. Hopefully the gift one will work out better

Rainbows

It's hard to see but there is a double rainbow:)

There was sewing

I actually didn't go anywhere today (which is a small miracle in of itself) see there was sewing. The right way with ironing of seams too. Gasp!!
There was also the quilt sandwich made (backing fabric(white flannel) and batting then the quilt top. And it was pinned together!!! I even got time to cut the fabric for the binding.!!

Sewing (hopefully)

So I have all these projects that need doing. A baby quilt for a wonderful reading teacher and holiday gifts to start. I know I try to start early every year and it doesn't happen but hey still trying (isn't that the definition of insanity)

Anyway. The baby quilt is all cut out. My newly configured sewing area is all set. Now to just get the time. Ahh time ugh. I need to learn to bend the time space continuum
