It's Friday night and

Another Graham hat requested by my little brother, in black.

And homemade brownies (from scratch not box) with peanut butter. Hmmmm

Spur if the moment sewing

Drama and I made the same bag. It was a spur of the moment thing. It's a cute and easy and fast pattern. Drama was able to keep up with me.

Drama's is on the left. Mine on the right.

They are called Japanese Knot bags. You slip the longer handle through the smaller one to close the bag. Bonus they are completely reversible.

I'm using mine for my knitting. I know big shock right? :]

And then i had company

For some reason this post didn't publish from last weekend

This is a surprise pic. She had no idea I was going to take this picture. That's why she has such a blah face on

A blizzard and a hat

We didn't get the 30+ inches the predicted. We are at 20"

So while we are snuggled in I finished my hat.  I used my handspun from the summer called Vineyard. It's nice and squishy. I had 2 skeins from two different braids so there was a slight difference between them so I really only wanted to use one of them. I didn't have quite enough for the fold over but enough for the hat

Vineyard is the three to the left. I used the middle skein.

Fits him well my lil model. He saw that I was finished and came right over and wanted to model. Such a cutie.

And because my Aunty requested it

Today in sewing

finished a quilt top for the Hubby. It was supposed to be a throw size but it turned into almost queen sized. No pictures I have to iron it first (and figure out how to take a picture, it's so big)

Anyway I flew by the seat of my pants and made something else when I was done with the quilt top.

Took a pair of  pants and placed them down on the folded fabric. Then took a sharpie and drew the cut lines. Very technical. Cut the fabric and sewed together. Even did fancy seams. Then added elastic and

Boom

Baggy (very baggy) lounge around flannel pants. I do need to put a draw string in but other then that they are comfy. I bought the fabric at 1.75 a yard on clearance. So the three yards equal $5.25. Pretty cool.

My day

Sewing, tea and my little sidekick. :)

Hat update

Knitting has been slow going. I am only getting a row here and there. But progress is progress

Almost 6". Need to get to 7.5" before decreases. Hopefully it won't take too long to get there

That's the ravelry link that hopefully works. Blogging from phone. It's not easy to link anything.

Anyway I like the pattern so much that I pick some of my handspun yarn to make my self one

Yes I know I've been a bad blogger

Silence was caused by a lot of stuff. Good, bad and some real shitty stuff. Excuse my language. Since it's my blog I want to keep it in the good side. So....

Today my baby turned 3!!!!
He was so excited to unwrap a book. He is such a little mush.
A little boy who loves his cake.

When the crap hits the fan it's my kids who help keep me from losing it.

:)

AC- I know cryptic. Sorry. I will email you I promise
