Dinner

Pan fried potato gnocchi with mushrooms, kale and brussel sprouts (and garlic, olive oil and red pepper flakes)

Slow progress

Slow as in a tortoise running through peanut butter slow but still progress. This is three days of work.

Potato and mushroom hash with tofu egg for me and ham and cheese omelet for the hubby. Both topped with fresh diced tomato and avocado. Y-U-M-M-Y =]

Car knitting update

Slow but moving forward. I really am hoping the pooling continues this way. Almost plaid-ish in a way.

The kiddies go back to school

Tomorrow:(. I love when my kids are home and I really miss them when school is in.

( below is eggplant Punjabi ( the eggplant just melts and becomes this velvety deliciousness) and samosa potatoes. Basically it's the filling of o samosa without the deep fried dough. I like it better this way)

The nurses know me now

It's a sad nice thing. The pump is so temperamental that I can not move my arm. Though granted my veins do not cooperate much so that doesn't help any. I do get a good 30 minutes to read. Which feels like a blink. Good news is that the infusions are working. I get to go back in a month this time instead of 3 weeks.

Never posted this

But I made Christmas spiders because why not? Just a quick little craft took about 20 minutes for the 8 ( one was already adopted before I could tale a group shot).

Finished pictures

(I have no idea why the first one is upside down but you can see the size difference in the pinwheels -beginning is on top)
Sheesh this poor scarf took over two years to weave. There are definitely beat issues. The stripes are all 8 rows but the widths vary greatly. Honestly I love it.
Shout out to my reluctant model. The sun peaked out today for a few minutes ( which was a treat considering I honestly can't remember the last sunny day) and my little mj want to model but hates getting his picture taken so this was the compromise. He was a great help my really not so little one.

Run away

The temps have dropped and the hyacinth has decided it's not happy. Poor thing. I know it was such a tease for February. The climate is so messed up.

Houston...

(this was supposed to post last night. Gotta love technology!)

So I am at the pinwheel stage and the plan was to copy the beginning to make the ends match. Well, there are two problems. The biggest is I am running out of warp(the end of the warp is attached to that thinner wood dowel on the left). I am not a fan of going all the way to the end because it is a tangled mess no matter how careful I am when I warp the loom so there are tension problems. Second I did 21 pinwheels at the beginning that equalled a little under 8 inches. So far I have done nowhere that many and I am at close to 5 inches. This is happening because well I am taking my time and paying attention to tension and not just pounding the yarn down to squish the pinwheels.  So I am going to match length. Honestly, if anyone notices without me telling them I'll be shocked and if they have a problem or negative comment well after the way I feel today they can suck an egg. =)

The calendar says February

But with temps in the 50's nature is getting confused. Things are starting to grow which the deer happily are eating. (This is my kitchen window )
