I love these little Legos

To see a handful of them turn into something is amazing. Like a speeder bike, Boba Fett's ship, the Razor Crest or an X-wing. Something that there is kits ot there for. Kits that are hundreds if not thousands of pieces. At most I think these little things have 20.

12/1

Been missing due to spinal fusion back at the end of June. It had to be done. Just now starting to get back to somewhat normal. Still under a ton of restrictions. To bring a little happiness I have the count Lego calendar Star Wars edition. Here is day 1 and 2.

LOL Duolingo

Sometimes there are gems.  This one was tonight and it got me.  I honestly laughed so much at this then would be considered normal. But hey.

umm muy interesante (very interesting)

So 3 months ago I started Duolingo to learn Spanish. Go to keep the brain active and well I have always wanted to learn another language.

Well, one of the sections was flirting and I use the term very loosely.

Example

It says: I do not need to read your terms of service to accept you.

Granted I like the statement's meaning but the direct translation has something to be desired.

Well it 90 plus out so

That means it's perfect day to put my garden ot right?  Due to life being well life, today was the day despite it being sunny and humid and in the 90s.  Don't worry, lots of water, sunblock and breaks were taken.
flowers potted
Radish seeds planted (that's son's project -who also happens to be helping with the pictures)
More flowers. Got to support the bees
Only 2 tomato plants this year and a cayenne pepper
Herbsky section. Lavender and rosemary survived the winter.  I planted cilantro, parsley and basil plants.  We also found these old seed pods, dill and sage,so we stuck them in to see if they will grow because why not.  Lastly all around marigolds. They keep bugs away from the plants and help keep mosquitoes away too so win win. Plus some color.
I just have one bed to clean up and I am done for spring.  Keeping it extremely light this year.

Lol

My yoga app gives little words of wisdom each time I log in. Today was with out a doubt the best and I may have laughed just a little too much.  Thank you Down Dog.

my new happy place

Which if you knew me would be surprising because I used to hate being outside in the sun, especially if the temperature rose above 65.  Heck maybe it's the anemia. Goddess knows I  always cold.
80 plus humidity I'm usually dying at this point.
I try to run outside and grab some outside time every day. Even if it's just laying on the trampoline (I no way in heck jump on it but it makes for great laying on) for a few minutes.

It's my get away from the chaos and relax and re center place.  Well until some one finds me. It usually doesn't take long.

Because a 150 piece puzzle sounds easy

But not when it measures 4x6 inches.  Things started to get a little blurry here and there.

Happy Birthday Daddy

I really miss you this year. For some reason this year is harder. It used to be such an amazing thing to have our birthdays within days of each other bit now that I'm the last one, it's more of a curse. I love you so much

Bousta Baby

The hat is done.  Pom-pom is attached.  It has been worked. It is loved.
Last picture the hat is on Kris. Problem when other people take pictures, they don't take the ones you want. =]
My night - editing and binge watching (Dracula again on Netflix)

just need to block

Just going to tease the inside of the unblocked hat. For the knitters out there you can see the stranding becomes more consistent.  Pretty cool. The hat is currently drying.

Stay safe

Exhale

It's feels like it took a decade to get here but finally the last 4 years are over.

I'm mooing

Mooing. It's a thing my Aunty tells me to do to release stress when life gets crazy and stressful. Sometimes though there's a bunch of &^%$&^ in those moos. Today was just as bad. This is why I don't plan things.  On the bright side I was sent to my room again though I was not able to knit but I was able to get stuff done.

And a little self care
MOO

progress

Tonight I was  told to go to my room and stay there. He he. I needed time to just chill and so I Netflix-ed Dracula (Steven Moffet version of Bram Stokers Dracula.  Interesting twists in this modern retelling. I absolutely loved it.  I know Moffet from his Doctor Who days where there was nothing but heartache, so this was a pleasant surprise. )
I believe this is now 2.5 repeats.  I knit with one color in each hand so it's not as fast as I'm usually.   That 1.5 was done tonight.
Inside floats all nice and mostly even.

It was nice to sit and knit and actually see progress afterwards.  I so miss those days.  I guess I'll just have to be sent to my room more often. (If only that was plausible)

Stay safe

One Repeat done

comfort knitting

For me any crafting is a comfort.  It's something where for just a little while I can just turn my mind off when things get hectic.  Knitting was my go to this time.  Easy and portable.
Started with yarn.  Baah! In Cherry Blossom and Periwinkle Sheep and if memory serves me it's Karin's Little Feet in Dandelion Fluff.
And here's the brim. I am making Bousta Beanie (link brings you to Shetland wool week website where the pattern is located - or there is always google) but instead of using 3 different colors I am using a solid background (the Dandelion Fluff) and a multi (Cherry Blossom) for the other two.  It will be subtle and I am liking how the two yarns look together.  Not my normal colors at all, which is a good thing.  Hopefully I will have some progress soon.  It's been a while since I've done colorwork on more then an ornament.

Stay safe

Anxiety much

Well I knew thing were not just magically going to poof get better once the calendar rolled over but it was not excepting an attempted coup.  Violence yes. This no.  It extremely bothers me though how they were treated. If those people were marching for Black Lives Matter you know there would have been chaos and way way more arrests(and more people shot and probably dead).  The white privilege on display was sickening.

One positive I see is now congress now knows how school children feel. Maybe they should have active shooter drills like my kids have.

Stay safe people
