Asked the Hubby. Why to spin at the baseball game of course. : ). My little home made spindle made from my junk drawer- a chopstick, a pushpin, 2 washers and a little rubber band and this puppy spins. Of course I have nothing to compare it to.

Whatever works! I just recently started spinning myself, so I made a drop spindle from a cd, a dowel stick (about the same size as a chopstick), a few rubber bands, and a cup hook. I had interesting results trying different discs - I made one from a wooden disc I picked up at joann fabrics, and I liked the results I got with that much better.
