Granola. So easy to make. Need to make more

Calzone braids. Very yummy

Last night I made taco braids. Very good. 

I love to cook and bake. I'm always trying new things. Tonight is Pasta Florentine. It looks good lets see if it tastes good

Problems with math

So I was making a gift. Thing is the pattern was originally for a bulky weight yarn and I wanted to make it in a fingering weight yarn. So a little math and I thought I had it all figured out and ordered the yarn. 

You can see what's going to happen right?

Scarf on the right is halfway done. Yarn on the left is 3/4 done. So it's not going to happen. I ordered another skein with my store credit and fingers crossed the yarn matches. Agh. I figured it would be a tight squeeze but half a skein just is in no way a tight squeeze

He was here Saturday and was "getting over " a cold. Yeah the past two days I've been basically on the couch sick.  

Finally feel like eating and this hit my fancy. My favorite fruit. Funny thing is I am reading a story about Hades and Persphone. :)

I'm ready

This was supposed to be me at Rhinebeck, but when we got there the sun was out and it was warm enough to leave the scarf in the car. Less the 20 minutes later the sun was behind clouds and the temp dropped into the 30's and it was snowing!!!  We quickly finished. Pictures are in my big camera so hopefully tomorrow :). Though just an hour ago this happened

It flurried. You can see flakes on the grill barely but they are there :)

Having a little difficulty

A certain sweet fuzz ball loves to play with yarn. Making knitting a little difficult when she's in the mood to play. I did get into the decreases while she was napping so I should be able to finish it tomorrow. I am going to need it too, it's supposed to be high of 40 at Rhinebeck on Sunday. Perfect wool weather:)

This year I get to go. Hubby and I will be going to 4th one. It's supposed to be in the 40's there so I decided last minute to make a hat to go with my Blizzard scarf

Hopefully my hands will cooperate with my plans. They are acting up of late. Fingers crossed. 

I have knit the band and now onto the body of the hat. It's another Graham hat. I didn't have time to look for a pattern

Yep a kitten.  Murphy. Very sweet and already litter box trained- only took a couple of days

Went apple picking. Went a little crazy and picked a bushel of apples. Roughly that's over a hundred. A batch of applause is cooling as I type 6 quarts worth and barely a dent

Boston Cream cake from scratch. Mmmmm it was so good

Finally the first fire of the season. Celebrated of course with marshmallows 

Best hard "boiled" eggs. Bake in the oven 325 for 30 minutes then cold water bath. Amazingly good. Just put the eggs in a muffin pan for ease.
