but not finished! I have no buttons!! I can not find any buttons that say "I look perfect". You know what I mean? Anyway here we are before blocking.
I tried it on and wow was it short!. I almost added to the length but I have heard through grapevines (Raverly) that there is growth in blocking so I blocked first and I am glad I did. It fits just the way I had Imagined it, well I imagined buttons but I am still looking.
this is the best picture of the color. It is hard to take a picture but there are many shades of green in the yarn. I love the color!! I have a hank and a half left over too!
Construction has started again here, Yeah!= P Just in time for back to school and work. I go back Wednesday and even though I am looking forward to it, I am also not. Anyone know of a job where you can stay home and do what you want and still get paid? Oh well hopefully I can still knit there.
Well I have hats to show, 2 that are finished one on the needles and some spinning pictures soon! I am seriously going to try to be a better blogger in september.
Hopefully I will have buttons too. I never would have thought that buttons would be the hard part...

Hey!
I am posting and it has not been a week yet! Amazing!! Even more amazing is that I have a sleeve and a pair of socks to show. Well really one 1 sock since I have already blogged about the first one, but hey it is what I have to show.
Socks - Just one fix 2. Cascade Fixation in a swampy green colors (there is just a color number on the band), size 4 needles and anklets.
Uh pay no attention to the blue dye stain on my ankle, I didn't notice it until I was blogging. I am dyeing yarn and roving here and well I got dyed too. = )
Sleeve -The Emerald Lady has a sleeve and a finished body, not sure if I blogged that.
My Buddah wanted to help model the sweater. Yeah one sleeve lots of ends (I really love weaving in ends, not!!) and then I just have to find 3 buttons that will fit into my really big button holes!! Anyone know of any great button places?

It seems to be becoming
a habit of mine to post once a week. Trust me this is not my intention at all. I am still not sleeping well which makes the day most interesting. What little energy I do have is spent on the normal household/life things and if there is anything left I am working on something I can not really talk much about.
I have been picked up by an internet yarn store in CA. So basically I have to get my stuff together to ship to her. I will gladly give more details when I can.
I am done with the body of The Emerald Lady and am slowly working on one of the sleeves.
I do have something to show that I couldn't before. My Mommy's Bday was at the end of July and for her gift I spun her some yarn. I made her the Beachcomber from a few posts ago
and this.
this one is the most accurate in color, plus you can see the sparkly stuff
this one shows all of the reds mixed into the black
It is Chai from Enchanted Knoll Farms - 4 oz of 98% superwashed merino plus Angelina (that's the sparkly stuff and sari silk. I bought this way back with the idea of spinning it for my mom to entice her back into knitting. Well she got herself back into knitting so I just spun it for her. She loves it btw.
I miss just spinning or knitting and sewing. There is so much that I want to do but just do not have the energy to do any of it. Yes I have talked to the drs and well it could be: a) the chemo, b) the RA c) not getting enough sleep, d) asthma meds or e) a combo of them. I personally think it is the whole not being able to sleep but I have no idea why I can not stay asleep at night.

Not yet a week
Almost went another week without posting. I have been meaning to really it is just I feel so run down and exhausted yet I am unable to sleep. Go figure right. Of course being unable to sleep makes me more exhausted. Trust me when I say I feel like I am back in the newborn days. When I do fall asleep it is only for an hour or two and then i am awake. awake like i just had 3 shots of espresso. of course this only happens if i can actually fall asleep. Not being able to rest at first gave me time to knit and such but now my brain is so fuzzy that I am messing up more then making progress. I am thinking about taking something tonight, I have been like this for a little over a week now. No fun at all or for those around me.
Anyway I did get somethings done. The Emerald Lady is now on her third hank of yarn and does not look much different except longer. I spun a little but can not show it yet. Now I am trying to spin those silk hankies from way back when. Uhh silk hankies and no sleep equal bad spinning. Hey I could always pull the artistic license card. what I have been doing is sewing. I sewed some sock bags for the store (look to the right on the blog you will see my mini etsy thingie) and working on some quilts that have been hanging around since Skywalker was in my belly! Of course the toddler bed size won't work anymore so I am going to have to make both bigger. I had material for the one but the other is really a scrap quilt so I am going to have to find material for it.
Yes I have a thing for sunflowers. I did not have any black sunflowers left so I had to use what I had. This one just needs batting and a back material.
This one is the really scrap quilt. it is also my first try at applique-ing. It came out not to bad. There are mistakes but nothing to major.
I tried sewing earlier and boy was that a mistake. I goofed so many times that I do not know what I did wrong. So I am going to go parked my butt in front of the tv and watch the Mets hopefully win and see if I can see Hubby at the game. (He is sitting in the seats behind homeplate)
