I have yarn =)

I loved Abby's comment about basically falling off the face of the planet. I will try not to. =) It might worry some family members that read.

I had a hard time when I started to spin. The yarn (used broadly here) came out lumpy and bumpy or it kept breaking. Then it dawned on me that I was using a roving that gave me a very hard time when I was learning to hand spin. I bought this stuff at Rhinebeck because I was told it was great stuff to learn with. Well basically I switched to other leftover stuff and it was much easier. After I spun that little bit of left over I dove right in to my roving. (cause well that what I do dive right in)

Remember this:

Well now it looks like this:
first yarn

I can see that I was more even at the end of the 2nd bobin. And I totally forgot to take pictures I was having too much fun.

Now do you remember this one:

I spun the light ones together:
single light
and the dark ones together:
singles dark
Put them together and you get this:
yarn l/d
yarn l/d

I did all of that mostly yesterday and yes my hands are sore. Nothing like over doing it on your first try. I have no clue how much of each I have but when I get my swift I will figure out how much I do have.

I received this in the mail. It is yarn from Yarning Yenta. It is Animal from her Muppet collection

She also included a stitch marker with the order. =)

No knitting has been done, I wonder why? =)

Looks like you're having lots of fun with the wheel. I'm so glad. You're creating more beautiful stuff. Let me know when you want help subsidizing a mini Merino, okay?

I'm impressed! Makes me want to learn to spin RIGHT NOW. Next Saturday I'm going to a fiber fest that is sponsored by a spinning guild, so maybe I will have my chance. So, when do you open your Etsy store?
