Good reason for radio silence

We moved. Lots of packing then moving and painting then unpacking (still working on that one). No more Long Island, no more LIE no more a bunch of things

Hello more room. Hello yard. Hello really nice neighbors. Hello closer to family. 

It's a new start for all of us.

Softball

My sassy girl plays softball and the way softball playoffs work is double elimination. You have to lose twice to get eliminated. Playoff started yesterday. 

Yesterday's game was an almost 4 hour long endurance game (they have to play at least 4 innings). They won 28-27. 

Tonight well was different. It was hot and humid and the poor girls were spent quickly. They lost 12-3.   Tomorrow they play again.

More left over squares. Easy and I don't have to look at to knit. :)

White is size ten crochet cotton and the green is tatting thread size 80. Thimble for size. 

Redo

Here is my second attempt at that tatting snowflake 

Almost done right. I twisted 1 join and have no idea how. I am working on a "new" way to tat. Basically instead of having a bunch of ends to weave in it's a mostly continuous method. I managed one Christmas wreath and am currently working on a second. No pictures of either yet.  The second one I'm using real tatting thread. Found it on clearance for .79 cents (orginally 4.99). I only bought one of each color, why I don't know. Even my daughter said to buy it all. Stores don't carry this stuff anymore. Oh well I just had a couple of bucks anyway. Maybe they will still be there next week. Fingers crossed:)

My All Stars

The Today was all star day for our little league. My Dillon and Kris made it for their divisions. 

Kris had a great game and Dillon missed hitting a home run by inches. 

Today I had one of those mother moments when you look at your kids and wonder where the time went. Weren't they just toddling around after each other?

Spring Cold

Well my youngest had the sniffles Saturday morning and by the next morning he was fine. The rest of us not so much. It's Tuesday night and I still feel like a semi ran over me. We all went to the doctor's office yesterday as some of us needed antibiotics. Thanks to allergies and the cold I am so stuffed I got double ear and sinus infection. Yeah!  Anyways have basically been parked on the couch since well laying down is just asking for trouble. 

Yeah it's a crappy picture of the little bit of knitting I was able to manage.

 I am using a very early hand spun, maybe my second or third. My MJ picked it out of my draw full. It's strange looking back at it I was all over the place in twist and thickness. I am knitting a one row scarf by the Yarn Harlot. Easy but not boring. 

Baseball and Knitting

Still on sock one of Kris's pair. Life has just been crazy busy. It's the end of the year at school with 2 of my kids "graduating" their schools.
